Beautiful strand of matched Djenne Route Glass Beads, Late Roman, Early Islamic or Medieval Period, about 100-1200 A.D. -- by their type, Medieval Islamic is the better bet.
Many of these are incredibly striated, some have wonderful patination and effluorescence, and all are in excellent condition.

They were excavated in 1963; I brought them with me to California on a MATS flight.
